The Martial Arts can help your kids like no other sport or activity.
Yes, we teach kids how to kick, block and punch. And they get lots of exercise, get stronger physically, and gain flexibility and coordination. And they even have fun while doing it.
How it works: The physical skills act as a foundation for the development of character skills, such as:
Courage. As children learn to master moves and skills within each belt, they gain a sense of accomplishment and a willingness to take on new challenges. They become less anxious or afraid, even when something is difficult to accomplish.
Perseverance. Your children reap the benefits of improved physical stamina. They will be able to walk farther, run longer, practice skills until they get them right. Your children learn not to give up and that they are the driver of their own destiny.
Self Control and Respect. Within the framework of Tae Kwon Do, your children will learn to show respect for others, and themselves, and when it’s ok and appropriate to take action or not take action.
Focus. Your children will learn to focus as concentration is necessary for all aspects of Tae Kwon Do. Our goal is that the focus that they learn in Tae Kwon Do will spill over to their academic and personal lives.
Confidence. Watch as your children increase in confidence as they develop at their own pace. Children are empowered with the know how that they are continuing to move forward and overcome the challenges of each belt requirement. Watch as your child finds the courage to open any door life has to offer.
